Small update but a strange one..

Was leaving the farm.. car idleing while i shut the gate, then suddenly the rev tone dropped, and what seemed a very slight misfire and smoke - un burnt fuel - out the back... i gave her some revs a few times and the smoke increased... and then cleared and she settled down..... then.. on the drive home she was a slightly different car... little quicker and faster...

must be something sticking or stuck and slightly freeing up....

The pump, yea it had sat with veggie oil in it.. so, there is something to say for the crap!

Do you ever run a bit of Millers or Wynns diesel cleaner through, to shift deposits?

Shes had a recent fuel filter, but I guess any crap in the pump has gone past the filter!
