Right, electric arm rest working, as a frame, I had to wire the thing up from scratch though not hard at all...

By refering to the diagram...

Image

and focusing on the diagram for switch 168 it represents the rear window switch on the centre console.

All that is needed is a switch, a plug that fits it and 5 wires.. 2 earths one positive feed and two out to the motor. The switch actives positive and negative feed be reversing the polarity to the motor for each direction.

A1 and B5 are power out direct to the motor... Power into Pin B4 and earth A4 and B2 and jobs a guddun.

Nice and simple.

Just need now to fit the box and thats inside done for now. Next is to get the nearside wheel bearing fitted to a hub and stuck on the car.

Suprise progress today. I can never tell when it can happen...

Two jobs done.. I went to the garage and picked up the Hub for the front nearside, with a nice new bearing fitted.. ten pounds well spent!!

So, I manage to get that fitted to the car and then decided the one other big job to get out the way was to swap the thermostat. K ban has been suffering with over cooling for a while now.. so up on ramps, as 2.1 thermostats are on the back above the lower off side engine mount.. to my suprise one bolt was already missing from the housing...

Anyway, after much arsing around and getting ratchets in at the correct angle to get at the bolts we managed to get the bolts out and the thermostat, and there was the answer for the over cooling....

Image

Yup.. thats preciesly how it came out.... with that rubber seal stuck in it!

Image

That stat was only open this tiny amount but enough to over cool!

So two big ones out the way.

I need to now look at the ambigious Rear Left Side Light defective error, and NO its not an earth, or it is, but Ive already put one in soldered to the lamp .. those normally pop up ever time you indicate. This one stays off while the lights are off, but with my lights on it may stay off or all of a sudden while driving it will just pop up... but the light is clearly working!

However, while working... me and Ban had a fight...

KBan ... 1
Me ...... 0

It bloody hurts too!!!

Nicely sorted! Was that a second ring-seal stuck in the old 'stat? Looks as if the old unit already had one on its edge.
Not quite sure which part of your anatomy that is in the photo.......hope it wasn't......

I have lost many fights with the mandarin. Got a nice scab forming on my little finger for example.
What did KBAN do? It proves my point, Citroens a living creatures who do bite back when provoked!

That is very odd that thermostat seal. How on earth did it get like that? Good find though.

The rubber has gone hard...maybe due to too little use.

Fighting citroens is a bad idea, you always loose ;)

Well 80 mile test drive after fitting thermostat and bearing reveals zero wheel and brake rubbing noise so thats good and im happy to report a rock solid steady temp reading now too
