Thanks guys :)

What do the Etoile wheels look like? I do want to do something with the wheels, in either 15 or 16" Ideally something very flat faced and simple, should suit the lines of the car.

Whippet quick indeed russ, we have two -

They are beautiful loving fast dogs :D They are also non shedding and very clean, no dog smell!

If you want a family pet I can recommend a whippet :)

Love those whippets! Etoiles are nice too:) The only thing I don't really like are the 'plastic wheels' of your XM (I still have them too on the winter tyres) Go for Etoiles, they are very nice. You do need other tyres cause steel rims are smaller than etoiles. Can't wait to get going in my 2.1TD!

I believe that the Etoile wheels are often referred to as the Wobbly Web alloys...

Mine too. ANYTHING is easier to clean than Monte Carlos  I had the Xantia version of them (The Magny-Cours) on first S1 V6 and I swapped them for S2 Exclusive wheels as they're far easier to clean..

I'm keen to acquire a set of Wobby Webs for mine as I think they'll look OK on it...

They are sooooo much easier to clean. The C5 has Hungaro, which look great but god they are a nightmare to clean.

My only gripe with wobbly webs are they are a little tricky to put back on the car.... Probably just me
