CitroJim's Citroens
Here's the first pictures. I apologise they're not good but I'll try tomorrow to get some better ones...
I've had a very good look over her and found a few other small issues. Nothing major...
Cruise control not working. Common problem. Fix most likely known and easy....
Starter is occasionally intermittent. Common and known ES9 problem. Fix may involver installing a starter 'helper' relay.
Climate not working correctly. Blower stuck on half speed and uncontrollable. It's not the regulator but the signal to it. Lexia reports a fan control fault. Only looked briefly.
Tailgate central locking not working and lock barrel seized.
Gearbox display flashing. Lexia unable to access gearbox ECU and yet it works perfectly
The bulb behind the climate display blew this afternoon...
So there we go... A few jobs to keep me amused...
Not bad really...

Lovely!
What causes the fan issue? Is it a regulator problem?

Re: CitroJim's ES9 V6 Exclusive
It normally is but not this time. I briefly looked at the fan speed control signal from the ECU to the regulator and it's static at 4.5v which would account for the constant slowish speed. Every now and again it briefly speeds up and returns to it's normal speed.turbo_imp wrote: What causes the fan issue? Is it a regulator problem?
Lexia reports a fault but not looked further yet..
In some ways I do too Paul but I also love the V6. I had a very enjoyable last drive of it this morning and she purred along a treat..citroenxm wrote: Prefer the Black Prestege though..
There is already one S2 thing I don't care for. The mirrors. They're terrible

Re: CitroJim's ES9 V6 Exclusive
I've no problem with the spoiler or the interior really Paul except that the plastic is a bit smooth...
Why did they reverse the positions of the fuel and temperature gauges? Very confusing to an S1 owner
Took me ages to find the rear wash-wipe controls Hiding behind the cruise stalk!!!
Despite all that I'm very happy with her

Re: CitroJim's ES9 V6 Exclusive
Yea the smooth plastic does give a slightly cheaper feel to me.. The alignment of all the switch's up to the left is a bit more handy, but yes hiddn wiper switch... hmmm why?
As for quietness.... Wisper quiet? I bet it was!

Re: CitroJim's ES9 V6 Exclusive
Very nice Jim. It is my favourite S2 version, that silver and those alloys. Plus you have the creamy V6 to finish it off. If only it had the MK1 interior. Can't have everything!
Glad your pleased, look forward to seeing it at a show. Will it be at X Rally?

Re: CitroJim's ES9 V6 Exclusive
I reckon so Russ although it's a toss-up always between XM and Activa..russ92xmsed wrote:Will it be at X Rally?
I think the XM at the X, both at DSM and CXM and more than likely the Activa to the National as there's something a bit special for the Xantia planned for that rally and that just leaves the Northern and Midland to be split between whichever takes my fancy on the day...
It is Paul, as quiet as a quiet thing. Very refined and more so than the Xantia V6...
