S2 wiring diagrams are on the well known Citroen XM factory manual disk compiled by Norrie 2003. Many people have this disk, including me, but I can't figure out how to upload these diagrams from the pdf to the forum server  I expect someone to come along soon who is savvier at this kind of thing :D

Ecu pins 1 and 2 are the electrovalve coil signals, other side to earth.
For detail see Gabors circuit diagram project.

Hi John,

I got that information fom the fault code list, but couldn't see which are White Pin 1 and Black pin2 and couldn't get sensible readings to be able to determine.

I was quite pleased to be able to extract the fault codes via the 30 pin connector. Never done that before with a simple blink code reader. There were initially a number of codes stored and some random codes too. After a reset the only code was "31" front electrovalve. The hydracive light also started functioning again at start up.

What is the 7 pin conector in the ECU box?

The 7 pin black connector in the ECU box with green wires is the Immo connector, it also carries a wire that triggers the EML light on the dash and has the speed sensor signal to the ECU.

The 7? pin connector by the o/s strut top is the loom down to the hydractive valve and body movement sensor under the car from the hydractive ECU.

That one. I've seen it twice recently on S2-2.1td with mechanical pumps...so no immobiliser, hence it has nothing to plug into.

I haven't posted anything here for a while, as there has not been much to report. After it's winter layup the XM needed a new battery, I am a bit disappointed that the previous Bosch battery only lasted 5 years, replaced by a Varta Silver Dynamic which had 50€ off at Mr auto. I changed the front brake pads, but that is all the maintenance required.

The battery did remind me that I have owned the car for 5 years, and it has now covered 102,000 km from new.

We are currently on a little tour of northern Italy. Yesterday while parked in Aosta, someone left a note offering to buy it. He probably did not realise that is a V6, as late cars have no engine badging, I do have a spare V6 boot badge from a Xantia, maybe I should stick that on.

In Bergamo today, about 35 degrees, the A/C is very useful.
