Has neither of yours got cruise control then Jaap? I see the TD has headlight washers so thought it might be an Exclusive and thus have all the toys...

So, does a VSX not have cruise then? Not even a posh one?

Take the one you love being in the most Jaap but I can imagine that's a very difficult choice...

Seeing as Elizabeth's did the last big drive then it is, I guess, the turn of the TD...

I've not been to France for a long time now, 2006 in fact when I took my girls to Euro Disney. We had a great time. I drove my old sinker Xantia there...

Can't go there anyway at the moment as I don't have a valid passport. My last one expired in 2007

Is your trip to France for pleasure Jaap?

Most certainly. We need to travel to NL for 50 yr. wedding anniversaries + 80 year birthday mother in law, so spending money to go to these family occasions, we decided to add some quality time for ourselves and seek out some sun shine. We're like all of us, fed up with the crap weather. We love France for sure.

captainhaddock wrote:And Russ, I seem to have strange water ingress as well.

I drove the car onto ramps and slowly, very slowly but constantly, there is water leaving the sills. So I am going to drill a few holes in there both front and back. The petrol doesn't seem to have that problem. I had her on the same ramps and she lives outside where the Diesel lived inside for the winter. Don't have a clue how water can get into the sills, yet.

How strange Jaap. I know sills are meant to be 'open' a bit and have drains in them to get rid of moisture. From memory 3 I think on an XM....
Your not mistaking the sunroof or scuttle drains? They are quite obvious though.

I went out to check my box section yesterday and found it full of water again. But I stupidly removed my bluetack worm, so the water must have actually gone in through the cap hole. This is the issue with water, it will find any nook and cranny and get everywhere.
My sills don't leak water....as far as i know, (although some has got in via dodgy jacking points and started to do its best).....they just leak oil at the moment! Leaving little puddles everywhere. :?
I would assume your jacking points are fine. So cant be them.

I did read somewhere on here...I think it was Dean, said if you put the blower on a certain setting, it blows air through the sills. No idea if that is true. Foot and windscreen setting i think?? :|

Best of luck finding the problem. Main thing is they are draining the water out.

Take the 2.1 to France!!! See what the best MPG figure you can get! So jealous. I havent been to France in years. I would love to take mine over, but I need to trust it a bit more before that!!
