Has it all been conected in the correct order?
This project's been very interesting reading.
Don't give up on it after all the work you put into it so far.

maybe check that any earth connectors are connected & tight - I've experienced some electrical funnies due to bad earths.

your symptoms with some warning lights glowing dimly and engine running-on after switch off strongly suggests that the alternator warning light wire is crossed with something else. Try disconnecting the alternator warning wire at the alternator and see if the symptoms Change.

Some strange goings on up here!!

The car had sat for about 3 weeks now, ignored by me... after having ignition Switch on order issues, and the car not turning off with the key off...

Today I decided that with the high winds I didnt want the car sitting under the trees in the event of any fleeing branch's so swapped places with the S h i txso (Saxo) thats going for scrap which was in the work parking space...

Connected the battery, got in the car turned the key the warning lights came on, turned to second position the warning lights STAYED ON, the clocks powered up with the glow plug warning light, turned the key and she started straight away all ALL WORKED PROPERLY!! IVe not touched her! Just left her since the last time ..

Swapped the two over, turned the key off, and hey presto she stopped too!!!

So what the heck is going on!!

Ive also noticed when I moved the car water dripping in off the passenger side Jeesus Christ handle!! Bloody sunroofs again! Need to drop the headlining now while the trim is all off and see whats happening. It of course doesnt work anyway..

Thats all folks..

Not just this one Vince, I DO just hate them, they steal valuble head room, never work, leak, noisy, draughty.. etc etc..

I love sunroofs as I don't need the headroom, quite like the wind noise as it lets you know how fast you are going and appreciate the roof lining getting a wash now and then to wash all the years of dirt out.

Couldn't agree .......LESS

Bloody things! I am dreading checking the car tomorrow. It is absolutely chucking it down here. It's going to get in somewhere....I'm convinced. ;)

Paul...Ariel base, inside and above. Motor mounts. drain tubes and then the seal on the glass. All very obvious stuff. But each one needed sorting out on mine before it stopped leaking, and it was the aerial one that was being sneaky.

Your electrical issue is curious. Seems all it needed to do was converless and heal after major surgery!
