Yes, sensor on brake pedal.
I don't think the brake pedal switch is connected to the suspension. There is a separate hydraulic pressure switch. (which incidentally was deleted on the mk2 Xantia).

Yes, absolutely Mike and possibly the same applies to the later XM and hence the brake signal always appears earthed. When time permits it'll be worth checking that.. Both via circuits and next time we're waving Lexias and ELITs over our cars...

Sorry don't know why I wrote the above, the brake pressure sensor is NOT on the brake pedal, but somewhere on the hydraulic braking circuit! Don't know where though.

Thanks for replies.

I'm another small step closer tho! Fitted 2 x diodes across the electrovalves, I now get the clunks and buzzing when doing the door opening test etc. But still no sport light. I made up the LED diagnostic tool but can't get it work with the suspension ecu, works fine with ABS.

Getting there!

Excellent! You are certainly getting there. You'll be a specialist in no time :D

I don't think it will due to the very propriety protocol used by the Hydractive ECU to communicate with a diagnostic machine. It's strictly Lexia/ELIT territory and some very specialist third party diagnostic kits like the Sykes ACR-4

Over on the FCF is a list of members with Lexia kit happy to run a diagnostic for beer tokens. I'm sure there's one near you...

If you can't find it I'll dig out the link for you...

Here's the latest FCF list of Lexia Owners Cromptons...

You will need to scroll a fair way down the page to find the latest list...

It's in the 'SuperSticky' area...
