How does this 406 compare to your 407?

I liked the 407s I had. C5 was nicer to drive, but less reliable!

I had a 407 Hdi for a few years. No real problems with it. Over 55 mpg on a long run and a very comfortable cruiser.

Sorry Jorgy, I hadn't seen your question.

They actually have a lot of similarities. The driving position is similar and the performance is almost identical. You change gear in the 407 a lot more as it's a 6 speed manual rather then the 5 in the 406.

The seats are better in the 407, they're a leather bucket seat rather then the flatter seat in the 406. The 407 is a lot quieter on the motorway with it's double glazing and presumably more insulation.

To conclude, they're different cars, one would never replace the other, they work well as a pair!
