Matrix pipe leaks are often caused by failure to get the pipe positioning slots aligned.
Not easy to check this before tightening up due to limited visibility.
Matrix holes have a plastic projection and the pipes the matching positioning slot.
The design of the pipe "H" clamp was changed about 1992.
Early ones are weedy flat aluminum plate.
I replace these as the later ones are bigger and stronger.

/\ in the event the tightening seems to have fixed the problem.

I'm prompted to update slightly as I've just got the car back with a new MOT for which I had to have the outer sills welded slightly and one of the antiroll bar bolts at the rear needed nipping up. Not a dreadful result.

Other than servicing the other work I have done in the intervening period is:

Repair to regulator return hose
Replacement breather hose
Tightening turbo oil feed pipe which had loosened and began to leak
Injector pump replacement (the original I wrecked trying to reseal)
Replacing hydraulic pump as original was leaking
One tyre

The main niggles:

I need to replace the insulating tape that seals the sunroof shut because it's started leaking again
The cold starting isn't as instantaneous with the Xantia pump, for some reason I think the XUD11 really does like extra advance when the engine is cold which the Xantia pump does not provide and also I need to turn up the on-boost fuelling slightly
The lacquer is starting to peel off the roof (it pretty much already has all peeled off the nose cone and spoiler now).
The LHM supply hose really wants replacing (it has been previously replaced with heater hose and it's now badly degraded)
I really should bleed the brakes
