The idle figure I quoted was for the launch version so manual V6.
The ECU takes three factors into account when setting the idle control valve.
Throttle position, load and engine temperature in order to provide stable idling.

I have clocked up nearly 1,000 miles since the last fix and the car is performing well and a joy to drive. This weekend I had a good look underneath and the only issue was a minor loss of grease from a inner driveshaft gaiter that I had noticed before was slightly split and hopefully my patch repair will suffice! I also cleaned up the alloys, partly for the X Rally next weekend, followed by a brief photoshoot! Regards, Matthew T.

Many thanks for that Dean! I would be inclined to thoroughly check and clean the wiring before condemning the sensor itself. Regards, Matthew T.

This isn't really the place, it may be worth bringing the information together in a self help file but the variance of the signal surprises me, the minimum I can get mine to read in terms of output voltage at idle is .8v I think and maximum at WOT is about 3.5v, the sensor works fine but the throttle plate travel just doesn't sweep the sensor far enough through its travel.
