Won't be long and it will be worth spending the money on Paul, I bought mine 12 years ago, from a dealer, and i would guess its now worth comfortably more than I paid for it even though it has been mildly chaved, I've got the page from auto trader it was advertised in and its funny to look at prices of other metal there, a cloverleaf Alfa for £300 was one of the others I was debating over at the time lol.

You really did well, I hope I got mine before the next big price increase. There is a lot of interest at the moment, mine was one of 4 being sold & all went within 2 weeks!
I would like a Mk1 really as it's more quirky Citroen, but you don't see a nice black one of any mark every day.

I wanted a black one too but it had to be a Mk1. Now got a nice tidy(ish) white one instead!!!!!!

I have to say I like white as much as black on an XM, the band of windows and black pillars really show off the wedge shape nicely.

The white does look good. I am working on getting the details nice and crisp.

I have been following up a few things from this thread in the new members section viewtopic.php?f=22&t=6906

I had wondered which wheels were originally fitted, so I logged into Citroen Service, entered the VIN and found that the Monte Carlo style wheels fitted are the original specification. That's a shame as I wanted an excuse to get the wobbly web design! However it also states that it doesn't have CD or wood trim on the dash, both of which it has...

I also looked for the build date number, is this it?

The CD changer could have been dealer-fitted. I think the wood trim was fitted to all Exclusives.

I thought that about the CD although it does appear in both the handbook and the audio supplement.
