Thanks for posting the door shut test, I'll try it ASAP.
To me the suspension seems pretty soft & smooth, I just read that the sport light should come on at start up, but does not. Dean suggests that stored codes is the reason & I will get it hooked up to a Lexia when I can arrange it.

Thought I'd post vids of the suspension up/down fun.

I think you need to sample a known good XM to calibrate your perceptions of the suspension performance.

Suspension raise looks normal - back first, front follows.

Theres two disks, a gold one and an orange one. Put the car in MAX height, top setting, and the indicator orange disk should be between the red lines on the slight glass.

Good pic.. as above.. NO NO NO green in that glass... On top setting, MAX Height, the GOLD disc, should be between the RED lines on the sight glass....

Here we have conflicting statements. Allow me to correct. Like White Exec also states, it's the little orange umbrella that indicates the level. There would be no need for that part if it were the metal disk. The metal disk when sunk closes electrical contacts to trigger a low level warning on the instrument panel.

Assuming the Sport indicator light is working (check by switching to Sport), it is normal for it not to light when starting up.
(The ABS light does come on with IGN on, while a check is being run on the ABS system, but should then extinguish.)
The sport indicator light should come on for a few seconds with the ignition, like the ABS light - not illuminating means there are stored faults. They don't mean anything - it's the ones that return after clearing that are an issue.

Correct, sorry. Original post edited.
Have checked with HA manual, which says that when IGN is switched on, Sport/Susp light will illuminate for 3 secs if no faults stored, or will flash at 1hz for 10secs if there are is a fault.
Mine just doesn't illuminate on IGN on (ABS light does), but everything works normally. Lamp ok (comes on when Sport is selected).

Can't explain that - or does non-illumination mean there were faults, but none current? Manual doesn't say.

I use a more simplistic system of checking the level in the LHM tank. With the engine ticking over and on normal height I just stick my forefinger into the tank. If I don't feel any green stuff on my finger it needs topping up. Not the most scientific, granted, but it hasn't failed me.

I have found the manual has no relevance to the operation of my light, I'm not sure if this common knowledge of hydractive light operation stems from the original ECU version and Citroen deleted the flashing with faults present, we all know the ECU is very quick to throw a code for no real reason and this could of caused problems with the customer.

My light will illuminate with ignition on after the codes have been cleared by a lexia, the light has come on and sometimes flashed when turning the engine off before but has only ever done it that once or twice and I don't know why.

Non-illumination means there are stored faults. I think Dean might be right about the light flashing with faults as I have never seen or heard about it happening.

Stored faults don't mean anything and hydractive will continue to operate normally. Like Dean said the hydractive ECU will throw codes even if there is no real fault.
