I was very sorry to hear that my old car now needs another home Neil and perhaps Graeme may buy her back! As you mentioned Sam Skelton he has already taken ownership of another XM 2.0i turbo auto I sold in 2012. With regards, Matthew T.

Thank you, Matt. Yes I'm hoping it goes to somebody who appreciates it rather than somebody after a cheap car if you're with me? Cheers Neil.

With a bit of luck you can pass it on to another good home.

Best of luck with the sale Neil

Cheers Dean I'm going to fit a new rear engine mount bush soon and put it back up for sale I have the bush, just need the time haha. I'm hoping to get around £1000 for it but with them being so scarce I'm not sure what it's worth!

It's worth what someone wants to pay, you may be on a back foot with this one as its changed hands more times in the last year or two than........well its changed hands a lot. Not saying there are issues but if someone is keeping a keen eye out they may ask themselves why.

There is no reason you won't get £1000, its a rare spec and a more desirable Mk1 in a nice colour, I'm sure your no stranger to selling a car, nice detailed and honest advert detailing as much of the cars history as you can with lots of high res photo and bobs your aunties lover, Quid's in your pocket to go crout hunting.

Good luck with the rear engine mount too, you could of picked an easier one to change.

I paid £700 for mine but that was badly advertised. £1000 is not beyond the realms of possibility, certainly not if it's well-photographed and described.

Hiya, the car is worth that money I'd say given all the essential improvements I had to carry out. I'm more interested to find out if the engine idle/ throttle response issue is resolved and please for the love of all that's sacred, let me know what it was! (knock sensor? fuel pressure? - the only things left to check..)
