I do, but i'll mind not to step out in front of Citroens with yellow lights.

But you might want to remove the second inner lens of the lights to increase output
Has not the film been attached to the inner lens Graeme and with the lens removed there will be no beam focus and lots of dazzle! Regards, Mathew T.

The inner lenses produce the "dip left" action for RHD. As Matt says, without them, lots of problems.
If removed, when replacing, smooth side points towards the bulb, for RHD.
(Inserted the other way round, the effect is "dip right", for LHD, if you need a low-cost conversion.)

In relation to the yellow tinted lights I personally prefer Graeme's solution to install yellow tinted bulbs, which appears to be the original treatment (see photo attached). I would be interested to know where the bulbs can be sourced? Regards, Matthew T.

I guess these would do the trick:
Low beam: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YELLOW-XENON- ... 1e8f01b842" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"
High beam: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YELLOW-XENON- ... 540d2e4c6d" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"
Apart from appearance I was interested to note that a 'massive improvement in light and safety' is claimed and I think I will try a set of each!
Regards,
Matthew T.

I'm confused how reducing output as well as colour spectrum can improve safety.

The French authorities stopped mandating yellow lamps for just that reason.

Light output will be stated for any GOOD bulb.
For the latest Philips Xtreme and Osram Nightbreakers, the figure for both is 1550 lumens (see manufacturers' pages).
Some sloppy advertisers plonk figures like "4000" in their blurbs. If it means anything at all, it's probably the colour temp (degrees Kelvin).

IMO, the Philips and Osram items above seem to be the best legal and standard power (55W) halogen lamps on the market.
For a range of colour-tinted Philips lamps, take a look at Opie's most recent page here. Note that the tints are pale, to preserve light output, and to remain legal.
