Ramps look good, but please put some bigger chocks on the front wheels, if you're going under her - that ramp is steep!

I agree about the chocks and also think you should have made the top of the ramp flat so the car doesn't try to roll.

Wicked ramps those... I bet driving up them is "interesting".

Im not so sure, its going some to overcome being in gear, the handbrake and a a 2" chock, besides even if the car rolls and your under it by the rear crossmember it would not drop onto you, the ramp is rather long so you would no longer be under the car by the time it had travelled far enough to be low enough to scratch your nose. ;)

Thanks for advice, thought there are surely chocks for every wheel now, the photo was taken before that. And it's kind of true too that the car possibly couldn't go enough low to destroy anything but still, chocks for every wheel.

It was a stupid mistake to make the top of the ramp too short.

Anyways, it works and there's plenty of space even when the car is low.

Driving up there was easier than I thought. Driving a Bobcat to a trailer using those same ramps is far more interesting.

Here's a pic of a leveler in the rear
Image

It's completely loose, I wonder if it has cracked from the far end and it should be attached to something - not just sure where. The horizontal bar (balance bar..??) has some place where it perhaps should go but it's all rusted and if there ever were a hole, dont know.

I checked all manuals I got, is there any decent photo/etc of the leveler system in the rear?

Thanks.

It should be attached to the clamp round the anti-roll bar. Weld it back on but make it as the pivot for the clamp as it has to rotate with the ARB.

Cheers, I welded them together,
Image

The line I drew represents two points I welded and inside the circle somewhere is the actual pivot.

I started the car and the back end immediately rised to driving height. I drove a bit around and the suspension worked like angel.

Welding then got loose, or the bar breaked off just next to the welding.

Just checking before re-welding it: when I welded the bar, the height adjustment leveler (not the one in cabin, but the one in the height adjuster) didn't move a millimeter, not even with a bit force. Is it really so that when you start the engine, there happens something so that it DOES move since it now it wasn't moving at all? Just worried to break something apart.

Collars of the tank were also fixed. If I get the suspension allright, it'll be MOT.

The height corrector is quite hard to operate, but using a lever it should move.

So it seemed. I welded it again, adding a bit of metal to harden the welding point.

Works now, suspends fine.

But now I noticed motor temperature rising up to 100 C and warning light coming on, this after ~30 minutes of test driving. Gotta check it out. I think water pump should work since it seems to get hot kinda slowly. Could be just lack of cooling fluid.

To be continued.

Didnt pass MOT!

1) Hand break was too weak. Since it had been repaired in 2013 spring and then succesfully passed MOT before the car went to long nap of 1-2 years, I think it should be just about greasing or tightnening.

2) LHM-leak in front. The mid sphere dropped a drop every now and then. Leak somewhere there. If there's a common place for a leak, I'm all ears!

3) Motor oil leak in front. Close to the mid sphere except to the right, came drops of motor oil. Surprised me too, hadn't noticed such previously. Altho this was first time I had the change to drive the car for 55 miles, earlier I just drove around the barn. If anyone knows a good place for a leak, I'm all ears. Gotta check it out.

4) Right light pointed a bit too high. I assume the knobs in the front above the lights are meant to adjust the light's position somehow.

What else. It was very cool to drive. I believe the spheres are a bit hard since I felt pretty much every bump in the road althought the feeling of being in an airship was present. Very, very nice car to drive. Love it.

Motor oil leak found,

, what are those hoses, are they oil pump's lines to upper parts of the engine? Easy to fix, but out of interest, what are they.
