Today, whilst driving along without my (broken) radio I noticed a random/rapid clicking noise coming from the glovebox, along with some lights illuminating on the dash, coupled to this was the random starting of the cooling fans... Is this a failing relay? A Bitron?

Yes that is related to the Bitron relay thing kicking in although I'm not sure what the most likely cause of the problem. I'd start by checking the connections to the sensors on what looks like a thermostat housing on the cylinder head (I'm sure pulling one of the connectors off will cause the problem you describe)followed by testing the sensors themselves followed by the relay itself.

That orange light is a signal of "Engine Temp rapidly too high"...

Its controled by the Brown Sensor on the thermostat house, that isnt on a 2.1 .. just where the top rad hose goes to the engine...

Pull the plug off and check for corrosion. Its a dodgy connection Ray...

I re-wired the sidelight, the wiring had corroded where it meets the connector and also where it joins the main wiring loom. Working perfectly now.

Excellent work.. I fitted a side light bulb to K ban today but the contacts in where the bulb sits were quite bad.. Gave them a quick rub to clean then a little..

I get so confused with all the greys Citroen used. We need to complete a colour chart with all the body colours listed, paint codes and dates they were used.
Did you volunteer for this Russ? 😂😂😂
