What about the air bag in the mk2 wheel? There isn't one in the single spoke wheel that's why it was changed on the later cars!

My car is a Mk1 and didn't come with an airbag. The original two-spoke wheel in the before picture is a non-airbag wheel as well.

It's really nice, you've got a good foundation to make it a spectacular car

Thanks! It's not too rusty, but the bodywork has got plenty of issues.

I wouldn't fit yellow headlamp bulbs. XM headlamps always appear dull anyway due tot eh inner lens coating becoming cloudy.

Coming on nicely! Some really good photos there.
An interesting sphere removal tool, with its two pinch bolts; not seen one like that before.
Underside looks pretty rust-free. Just a coat of wax needed to keep it that way...especially in Scandinavia!

Thanks Chris! I bought the tool here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/111749665983. It worked great on 6 out of 7 spheres (all but the accumulator sphere). I agree, the car is surprisingly rust-free. I will do some sort of rust-proofing before the winter.

Teretulemast vaan, glad to see another Finnish XM enthustiastic here. I bought mine from a guy who wanted the car away from his land mower's storage place.
I look forward for the leather interior, where will you get it? I'm a bit lucky here since one of the previous owners mounted black leather interior into this one.
It's really fun to work under the XM. A great place to spend your day. I had to fix a broken lhm-pipe there. I'll never forget that.
