S1 24v update!

I had a recent opportunity to fully inspect the underside of the 'Scotland' car and the condition was slightly better than expected. There was a little bit more wax oiling required in places and I also nipped up one or two hydraulic pipes where required. A local friend has a workshop with a very nice 'state of the art' lift that is available for hire and a extremely useful tool. I think I shall be visiting with other cars in due course!! There were several previous jobs on the 'Scotland' car that certainly would have been easier with this facility, including replacing the spheres and exhaust catalysters! Last weekend I also fitted a new set of spark plugs that have really sharpened up performance with acceleration even more impressive than usual, plus one horn had packed up some time ago. The car is actually about to come of the road and I hope to put the 'Germany' car back into service, although that requires replacement engine steel water pipes at some stage! With regards, Matthew T.

Oh for a lift! No sudden sinking XM's crushing you. That's good news Matthew. It's looking good.

Many thanks Paul and yes I should have picked up my old blog! I agree about Platinum that is my overall favourite colour after Champagne, in which the 24v sadly never appeared! With regards, Matthew T.
