It's been a while since I updated this, poor K-BAN hasn't been used much recently, but it is the only one I didn't SORN over the winter, so I've been starting it up weekly and letting it run. During the really cold spell we had a couple of weeks ago condensation had built up so much that the inside of the windscreen froze. It looks like the sunroof is leaking again, my poor effort with the new seal didn't last long at all, but I have a cunning plan...

K-BAN has been called into service this weekend, me and 2 friends went to see our friend Paul, his wife and their absolutely gorgeous baby boy. With 3 full sized adults on board it was the perfect opportunity to give the new diesel pump a good run. Effortless high speed cruising down the A55, pulling well in all the gears, even coming back up 'the big hill' it was able to accelerate and increase its speed.

Then today it was off to Wakefield to look at a Citroen Xantia, again, effortless high speed cruising in supreme comfort and exceptionally quiet for a 24 year old car. It's taken everything in its stride without so much as a murmur, which got me thinking...

Since I bought this car some 12 months ago I haven't really had any problems.
Ok, I replaced the brake rubber button as that started to leak, I replaced the front cross member as that had corroded somewhat, re-wired the horns, and unblocked the windscreen washers. Twice.

But in testament to how amazing these cars are, this 24 year old Citroen has proved to be a trusty worthwhile effortless sumptuous cruiser. And I'm so glad that Paul rescued it from near death. Twice.

I'm on a limited mileage Classic policy so using them as dailies would soon rack up mileage.

I've just bought a Xantia HDi to use as a daily

Is a classic policy really worth having as opposed to a standard policy?

Well I pay approx £330 for 7 cars, as opposed to near £500 for the Xantia...

That's cheap. What are the mileage, usage and level of cover restrictions.
