AN is listed as Anglia, any idea who the supplying dealer may be for K-BAN?

I suspect that is a cherished registration, so AN may not be the supplying location.

If you have the original service book it will be stamped with the supplying dealer stamp, otherwise citroen UK will be able to advise give the VIN.

As a pre-2001 reg 'AN' should be Reading, Berks. Ray, although the number may not be original as suggested by Will. Hopefully you have the maintenance booklet with further details. Regards, Matthew T.

Citroen Slough should be able to tell you which dealer the car was originally delivered to. Their sales records department was helpful like this over ours (and over the phone) when we were considering buying it: why was a car built in 1996 being offered new in 1998?

AN was originally Essex area, I think. Our BX was WAN (no jokes, please), and I remember legions of London electric milk floats registered CAN, VAN, TAN etc from the 1960s.

Ahh yes, we've had this conversation before I think, wasn't there another BAN that was a Citroen Slough press car?

There is. It's K382 BAN. I think it's 3 ...it's a bit blurry in the picture I have.

If you could send me a close up photo of the original plate I would be pleased to secure a replacement as I am quite often passing the business in Norwich. It is the very least that I can do given your earlier assistance with the laptop etc.!

Please let me know if there are any other orders and hopefully collection at the X rally will be possible.

With regards,

Matthew T.
Matthew, I have sent some images direct to your email address.

I just need a front plate.

I will be at the X Rally, so that would be great. We can settle up then.

Rob

At the time of the car's registration 'AN' was Reading, which is not so far from Slough, so that makes sense if the other car was originally with Citroën UK! Perhaps Ray's car had similar origins? Regards, Matthew T.

It is with a very heavy heart that I have decided to let K-BAN go. Regular readers to the forum will notice I don’t write much about her, that’s because she doesn’t give any trouble. She just starts and runs and sits in her allocated parking space. At this time I need to be practical and release equity, I can always start again when things improve for me.

Priced to sell at £1750. Some may think that’s steep, bu nothing compared to the TLC I have given her over the past 2 years.

I don't think that's steep at all. Good luck with the sale Ray.
