Wow, Ive not updated this for some time!! Sorry about that, time is not generious with me these days...

But, quite a bit has been done... This floor has been done as the cill area under it.. Strangely though, I cant find any pictures of the repair, The job I did was to take away the floor deading from the floor and cleaned it all up, then welded a plate IN the car .. and the under side cill after rust cure treatment closed up in the useual way..

I found more time and im pleased to say that I have managed the under boot floor box sections around the rear subframe mounts, all done now..

Off side before.

Ive not taken a picture of the Off Side finished...

And strangely I cant find an Nearside Before pictures....

Nearside After

While the subframe was off a hole was also spotted on the off side lower edge under the sphere housing..

The pipework was not too bad, one pipe was rotton and about to burst, so has been snapped and a new piece will go in..

Generally pipe work is in good order.. The Nearside has had a Copper Nukrel (what ever it is) non rusting pipe..

So, needing to clean up the subframe mounts, and flare a pipe up and make a join the subframe can go back on, and there we are left with a Off Side inner arch patch needed under the water expansion bottle, and look at the front bumper brackets... bit of wiring around the front and a tidy up.

Nice and tidy there Paul, nice work, what are you treating it with, looks like its very sticky and non setting or has it just been applied and wet?

Carplan thick underseal Dean.. It was warm and the stuff had thinned out.. I was constantly brushing it because it was always dripping off... The stuff goes off into a hard coating after a few hours.. I might apply another coat yet.. See how it looks when i go back..

Interesting area on the subframe, the underside of the rear normally stays good due to any small oil leak. Recently I had to do the chassis rail cruciform sections on the Mandarin car and also found a spot each side on the upper section of the rear subframe, where dirt gets lodged on top of the main tube, where the rear section is welded on. I cut it all out and patched in with stainless.

I was always of the impression that the rear subframe being rotten meant the rest of the car was toast, but maybe we need to be getting more vigilant and dropping the subframe for cleaning up and treating. They do look a lot tidier when all blacked up.

Suprisingly today.. I managed to get another patch in on this car...

Rear end finished, some front inner wings needed some bits, and manged to get one done under the water expansion bottle...

Just a small hole to the left against the inner wing mating face to do and other hole under the ECU box location... and a off side bumper/wing bracket needs rebuilding..

Getting there, and almost there..

Some progress has been further made..

Patch under the ECU box done... and all protected, I then got all the drivers side assembled, inner arch liner in etc...

One last bit to do, there was a bit missing where the air cleaner passes through the passenger chassis leg...

So I shoved this in..

Then as you can see to the left the wires at the front were in a bit of a mess, never ever a tidy job from factory, it needed tidying. The Air Cleaner support section of the battery box was broken, so a new one put in..

JOB DONE!

(SADLY< I appear to have lost these three pics above on my Host migration move)

Dash now also back together with a NON Bleeding RH display, and no broken front facia... all looking good now.

Just needs a clean!
