I'm not too sure if I want the Peugeot 'fixed' my trip yesterday was just short of 200 miles and I averaged 67.1mpg which isn't too bad for a 10 year old car with 138000 miles on the clock. That was with the cruise set at 72mph too.
My apologies Ray as I thought you had an issue with the car but I clearly misunderstood!
Yea KVG is NOT Platinum, its a darker Grey, where as our 24v's are a lighter grey almost silver..
I am sorry to disagree chaps, but Gris Dolmen and Platinum are actually the same colour, or least the paint code of ETB is the same!

Matthew T.

I know that light can play tricks but the colour certainly looks the same to me! Regards, Matthew T.

No Matthew that just clarifies the whole paint colour name/code, and thank you for putting in such effort. I thought it was the same as ETW where they changed the colour slightly during production years.

When i had the two parked together there was no way id swap a door over.. It would look odd and not match..

I dont care what papers say.. They are not the same colour and panels would not swap n match.. And so therefore are not the same colour in terms of visial contact...

Thanks chaps and it is one of those colours that does change with the light! If I am honest my two cars when parked together can look slightly different, despite definitely being platinum. After saying that both have had quite significant new paint with two years difference in age, so perhaps that might explain the issue with your cars Paul? Regards, Matthew T.

Colour fade is also big problem, how and where the car lives its life in terms of environment plays a big part in it.

I don't hold with that on a metallic finish. Colour fade is the result of the surface paint being broken down due to environmental factors. The lacquer protects the paint from these, unless breached.
