Small boys - Whassat then?

Quick flit to Gibraltar for the day yesterday, to meet up with some friends from the UK. A mostly motorway 120mi drive, with the inevitable half-hour queue to get through the slow Spanish 'customs' check just before the rock.

During the crawl along the last km of the seafront, a group of half-a-dozen young teenage lads actually stopped looking at their phones, and transferred their gaze to the XM in obvious puzzlement. We were stationary at the time, and the group split up to take a quick shufty. A couple went round the back end, and pointed to the badging. The others ran round to look at it too. Obviously a bit impressed, they went away muttering "Cool..." and went back to their phones.

A nice little moment. Wonder whether any of them might remember it too?

I've sailed through the Strait of Gibraltar a few times. That was a long time ago and of course I never saw the rock from this angle. Nice photo, but did you take it yourself Chris?
Interesting experience with the puzzled lads. I often notice people staring here too when I drive by :)

A few days ago, an older gentleman parked his immaculate C4 in front of the XM. On his return to his car, I was out there fixing the rear door trim, and I could tell he was desperate to talk to me about the car, but didn't for some reason. Shame.

They do attract people's attention these cars.

He was probably wondering whether to phone the Police seeing you nicking parts off a car...probably worried you might start on his next.

Suspension on high, head out of the sunroof should be enough.
