Before condemning the doseur valve I would replace any aged spheres, especially the accumulator and then service the FDV.

OK, time for update. Sometimes easiest solution seems to be the best one. Brake bleed sort everything out. Brakes are better and 'sitting' gone for good. That means that one thing is sorted :]

Just a quick update...
I'm still with You guys ;) Few weeks ago dropped my car in garage for some restoration/modification jobs. Will stay there for a next few months, so now I'm using my silver Xantia HDI while XM is away. From time to time I'll drop some photos for You and probably (as usual) ask for advice regards recommended repairs and jobs which should be done to provide bright future for my XM and keep it on the road for years.

Damn... last information was on Nov 2016. I can't believe that years has gone since I post last update. Well, I won't have any good information.
Since I've dropped car in that garage in Poland it all went wrong. Due to family circumstances I have to change garage in last moment and that means that I have to get in queue till other car projects will be sorted. Then (due to other situations) my mechanic have to migrate to Norway for couple of month - to buy garage which he was renting from private person. To keep a long story short owner of that warehouse/garage want to buy a flat for his daughter. So he give a chance (to my mechanic) to buy it from him, but to get that sort of money he (my mechanic) have to earn some quick cash - and that how he end up in Norway. He's back since December 2018, but recently his 7 yrs old niece was diagnosed with cancer - life is a bitch.
I meet him week ago on my weekend trip to Poland. We had a long chat and with tears in his eyes he promised me to push job (my XM) forward from this summer. So fingers crossed.

Meanwhile I saw the second XM which I bought from eBay and send to him as a donor. It supposed to be in much better condition than mine - apparently it's even worst than my original black one. Probably you remember that auction 2x 2.5 XM - one went to scrap yard and I bought second one - the frame - photo below. But as mention before - won't have much from it

Gosh, Prem, you have been 'through the mill' in getting the car sorted.
Hope your workshop guy comes up trumps.
Don't leave it so long with the news next time - three years is a long time!

Hi Chris. In normal situation (client vs mechanic) probably it'll end up with heavy arguing, swearing and taking a car, all parts and frame somewhere else. But first of all I'm not that kind of person and I can understand how difficult life can sometimes be. All these shitty-random situations comes and goes with time and at the end we're human beings and this is only a car (I know it's beautiful ;)). So I took a deep breath. think about it from wider perspective and decide to trust in his words and leave a car with him.
Besides (let's face the truth) who will take a car/project which been already taken apart by another mechanic ? So, sorry guys for not posting updates. I'm keeping me eye on forum - reading through, but mainly staying in shadow and carry on driving my Xantia for now :]

Hello, hello and hello...
It's been a long time since I post last update about my XM. I didn't have any good news, so decide not to share "my bad luck" with other members of this noble forum. But as you can see I'm back and the main reason for it is simple - I found the light at the end of negative tunnel. Yes, something move forward. I found good car and works can finally move forward.
Just quick reminder:
1.JPG
That was my first car which went to Poland for a "refurb". Unfortunately the body structure was rotten in many places (mainly due to bodge jobs done by previous butchers). So I've decide to look for a donor in UK, and found this:

It supposed to be in a really good condition (according to previous over) and be used as a base for his project. When it arrives to my garage in Poland I received information that, this donor was in tragic condition too (some metal bars welded to suport tow bar, many rusty patches, and matt paint work already start to peel off) - tragedy :(
But now found car. Good structure, well serviced and in daily use. NO SUNROOF, leather interiors, heated seats and etc. It'll be collected on Sunday and finally my mechanic will be able to move one with my project :D
I'll have some questions for you guys, but for now I'll just share some photos of that car:
green.png
VIN no is :VF7Y4NZ0000NZ6657 and I'll appreciate if someone would give me some information about this specific car.

PS: Green wasn't my favourite color, but from the other side black is so popular that it became a bit boring. Green is just like LHM and lights on dashboard, so it may be the best option for Citroen (or at least it is my excuse of having it in green) ;)
