Another purchase I made over the weekend is this 1991 2.1 SED.

It was advertised on Facebook as a previous write off, sustaining damage to the front offside wing and drivers door.

I kept my fingers crossed and with the help of some fellow XM owners I travelled to Bridport on the South West Coast and collected her. The 250+ mile journey home was helped somewhat with the aftermarket cruise control, and the best XM headlights I've experienced!

Yesterday I managed to remove the wing slightly to assess the A-pillar

There doesn't appear to be any damage and I'm told the car took a glancing blow, rather than a direct hit.

A bit more about the car... RP of 5181 which gives it a production date of 15th January 1991 and it was then registered on 1st August 1991. It's been known previously as J504 UNH and J1 ALW. The most fascinating fact I've found was that the car also previously lived in Liverpool!

It's returned home then! Looks great Ray. So just a new door and wing. Easily done.
There was a brand new front wing, possibly that side for sale at the rally. Barry from Bourne Citroen had it.

A decent bodyshop will be able to straighten the original wing and door.

That does look like a promising car Ray and I agree with Will that the door and wing could probably be repaired! In our brief conversation last weekend you mentioned a S2 front bumper had been added that appears to have come complete with headlamp washers and reservoir. With regards, Matthew T.
