Ok a brief update.. i decided that little was going on.. and thought there must be a master cylinder issue.. in the process of removal i snapped off the expension tank pipe spigot.. so it had to come out now..

However i simply could not see how it would.. so it was dash back out and pedal box loosened..

I found a sealed master cylinder section still pressured in the shed.. it was pressured as there was no movement on the push rod while it was split. So i decided im no further forward... manged to eventually get the one on the car out.. and split it off from the car.. upon splitting there was evidence of fluid at the joint. After i split it i tried pushing the slave push rod back in.. it was not moveing.. indicating to me there was a full fluid line and no air in it.. i took a chance.. installed the master cylinder eventually but also discovering i had routed the line incorrectly at the clutch pedal and now correctly sitting it clears the steering rod... manged to get it all put in pressed the pedal and had pressure from half way.. so.. removed the slave cylinder and put in a home made longer push rod.. re inserted the slave and as i did the clutch pedal popped up... back in the car pressed the pedal and hey presto we have clutch pressure..

Cycled the pedal a few times.. no change.. felt good.. nice n light.. so legs crossed a bit of a sucess story! Finally progress!!

So we can now move on a bit now!

Small progress today.. did .some minimal assembly to get the engine running... and got her going.. this was to satisfy myself the clutch is good and is.. at idle i can select all gears with the engine running inc reverse with no crunch.. and bite is not completely on the floor too..

So i assembled the interior again to a point.. so getting somewhere now..

Well she moves...

An express assembly.. saw the battery tray on.. rads plumbed in.. water in.. fan assey on.. and everything else.. . The lhm system even self primed the feed pipe right from the tank.. and the feed pipe useually needs a manual prime..

Took her up and down the yard and all seems working well..

Subject to an exhaust clamp between the cat and middle box.. and some interior.work we are almost ready

Did you manage to get an engine ECU for manual transmission?

An engine ecu was supplied but stupidly i had no code for it. I tried with the keypad unplugged no start.. tried with code 1111 no start tried 1234 no start and 0000 too.. the auto ecu idles nicely. no miss fr9m what i can see pleanty of power. what should i be expecting useing the autos ecu?

Ive also noticed theres no oil temp guage on the clocks on this car.. where all 24v v6 xm had them..

Misha.. The car is completely original! Nothing has been done.m what makes you say that? They are both black on the under side of the cill..
