One EV, then, so just one tell-tale LED will do.

Re: sageman's 'barn find' v6 sei s1
Ok now I understand these drawings better I’ve looked at my service manual which has the 7n connector drawn in the correct place
If I understand it correctly
1- brake pressure switch
2- body control sensor
3- body control sensor directly from positive skipping ecu
4- body control sensor
5- body control/brake pressure sw ground
6- EV positive
7- EV negative/back to ecu
Will upload pictures later

Re: sageman's 'barn find' v6 sei s1
After looking through about 20 differant wireing diagrams in my two s1 books the only difference I can see is 7 either goes back to ECU or to ground

Re: sageman's 'barn find' v6 sei s1
Almost right.
1- brake pressure switch OK
2- body control sensor its 5-way brown connector pin 1
3- body control sensor directly from positive skipping ecu its 5-way brown connector pin 3
4- body control sensor its 5-way brown connector pin 2
5- body control/brake pressure sw ground its 5-way brown connector pin 5 and Gnd
6- EV positive its 2-way brown connector pin
7- EV negative/back to ecu NO - EV negative, down to Gnd
Important that the EV receives correct polarity, as it contains an internal diode (which can be damaged if polarity wrong).
Susp ECU outputs +ve to EV.
The brown male connector on later EVs was actually marked + and -, moulded into the plastic.

Re: sageman's 'barn find' v6 sei s1
Citroen connector connections are usually labelled something like this:
7N2 - 7way, Noir (black), pin2
15B6 - 15way, Blanche (white), pin6
2M2 - 2way, Marron (brown), pin2
The plug/socket at the sensor is shown as brown.
Colours of connectors are stated in the service sheets/circuit diags to make them easier to locate on the car.

Re: sageman's 'barn find' v6 sei s1
So, you had those S1 circuit diagrams all along?
Those show a quite different set of connections for the EV etc.
Amazing how useful the right diagram is!

Honestly I have no idea which one mine is there’s about 20 differant diagrams for each ‘thing’
I never looked as these books are so overwhelming I had no idea what I was suppose to be looking for

Re: sageman's 'barn find' v6 sei s1
If you have a fairly complete/large set of Citroen diagrams, for each Section - you're in 58 at the moment, and 581-00/21 - there will be an Contents page at the front of that Section, which lists the circuits, divided up into Gauche (=LHD) and Droite (=RHD). Note that -00 pages apply to both LHD and RHD. It then lists the diagrams by RP number. This will take you to the correct diagram.
So, go for the right Section (58 is Suspension - in this case, there's a susp icon at the top of each circuit page, which helps)
Go for RHD
Go for your RP number (which is 5876)
This will take you to a Circuit/Page, eg 581-00/21
You'll notice that there are a series progressing pages, eg (I'm making these up)
581-00/20
581-00/20a
581-00/20b
...
These show how the succession of circuit designs as they changed over time. There can be lots of these changes, which is why it's important to get the RP (production date) right when using the manuals. That's why we go slightly bananas when the number is not properly displayed in a member's Profile or Signature.
If you have a large set/collection of those original Citroen diagrams, and maybe other Workshop pages too, they are extremely valuable for the info they contain, and should be cherished in themselves! We might be asking you to let us know which pages you have, as several of us have gaps in our own material!
