I personally didn't get the belt but it was what euro car parts offered based on reg.. But yea the length you suggest sounds much more like it will..

No surprise, aftermarket source supplying incorrect parts.
There are two Oem belt lengths one is 1195, the other 1200.
Either will do, or anything in between.

Yea. I'll know for next time.. Or at least when the bank allows another purchase.. I can put the proper altinator adjuster mechanism back on then.. I had to remove it to get the extra 5mm swing right out to get the belt on.

It looks like relay 813 (slow & fast) is sticking on after being energised.
Probably burned contacts so it arcs as it switches, then the contacts weld together until the battery is disconnected.

Both fan relays receive power straight from the battery, 813 activates and the Lh fan and depending on the inverter relay (815) the fan Gnd is made either straight to Gnd, or via the Rh fan.
The Gnd through the Rh fan means both fans run at slow speed, due to double the resistance.

For full speed the inverter relay (815) shunts the Lh fan directly to Gnd and relay 814 sends +12v to the Rh fan.
BUT. would this also keep the AC panel on inside the car too???

All three relays are NOT original relays, are replacments and its all been rewired with new crimp termials etc, and I rewired it all correctly following the autobox swap project on this car. Apparently its an issue the car always had, with the owner telling me he had added an additional relay to solve the issue, however Im not certain where or what the relay needs to switch to aid it switching off.

Ive studied wiring diagrams, and cant really completely workout what drives what .. I want to try a couple of fuse removals next time, F2 in the fuse box, and F3 in the fuse box and see what happens then..

I wouldnt mind so much, but the AC currently doesnt work, as no gas from the engine out job, and it still insists on automatically selecting AC on, if I knew a way to stop that it be something,,,

Relay 821 supplies power to the control unit direct from the battery.
I suspect it is sticking on when energised.

775, pressostat should cut the A/c function if there is no system pressure. The climate control panel does always start with A/c shown as on, but it shouldn't activate.

Well his diagram shows it as under the glove box. Lhd cars. Fuse box remains on the left side of the car.

I had a look. post now gone.... ;)

Not noticed a relay in that area. It would seem odd to run wiring all the way over there, then back to the climate control panel.
