Re: M reg 1995 2.1td autobox Swap
Central locking is fed from F34 which is a direct connection to battery positive.. There IS positive power to the fuse at all times so this then means I have central locking issues else where... So further investigation is needed else where. It could be the texton box I think I've got others to try.
Electric mirrors also don't work.. However this is a switch issue. The direction part feels a bit limp and doesn't spring back to position.. So I'll try another switch. Plenty here they were used on xantias too..
Hydractive also doesn't work.. Sliding the switch the lamp doesn't illuminate.. Hydractive also shares F34 too.. Maybe an earth issue. Relating to locking and suspension.
Time to study the electrical diagrams and see what I can work out

Perhaps the power is being lost at the output from the fuse box.citroenxm wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 5:18 pmCentral locking is fed from F34 which is a direct connection to battery positive.. There IS positive power to the fuse at all times

Re: M reg 1995 2.1td autobox Swap
Yea I need to find the central locking box and pin it to see if it's receiving the power. I assume the S2 uses the same box as the S1 cars and is. Above the parking break release lever.

Afaik, it is mounts there.
You could more easily check for power at the Hydractive Ecu.
The internal fuseboxes don't normally give trouble.
Has anyone messed with the central locking at some point?

That appears really good, what's it like when you drive on a main road?

Re: M reg 1995 2.1td autobox Swap
Very smooth ride.. Possibly wanders ever so slightly but that could be bushes etc although the mot passed no problem..

Re: M reg 1995 2.1td autobox Swap
I've watched the video again and note the flare on change.
As the clutch bites hard with no slipping I doubt it is a mechanical issue and suspect it is the selector valve is lazy in operation, either due to a broken spring, or sticky operation.
Presumably with the pressure cable connected the same effect happens, just higher up the rev range.
