No they are standard ones off a non sport suspension car. The centre hole was about the same as non hydractive lhm spheres.. I've more ill take picture of them to compare.. Incedentally the hydractive system works on this car as I heard pleanty of electrovalve buzzing. I think the centres could well be flat. With working electrovalves it could well be worth a pair of centres..

You won't want to drive the car with fully charged and working centre spheres and non-hydractive corner spheres. At best it is likely to give you motion sickness, but could make the car uncontrolable due to lack of damping.

It's fairly well damped at the moment from what I can feel. Certainly not like a boat.. And not as soft as. I've had previously.

I've. Got some accumulator spheres might just give it a try and see how it feels. It's certainly not soft enough at the moment

Some fettling today ready for Sat..

As we know by now I don't have show stoppers more like sheds of the shows anyway.. I wanted to have the oil changed and the first fluid change on the autobox..

Engine oil was simple and was pleased to find the oil filter was hand tight and not put on with a stilsen..

So next was gearbox oil..

That too went well with no issues at all. 2 litres came out.. So 2 went back in.

The oil wasn't too bad..

In a. Bid to sort out a fuel guage that died when warm.. Ie dropping to empty and pitting the reserve light on. I swapped the pcb board that sits behind the dials with the green plug but noticed that the illumination bulb behind the auto display is rather dim. It's not dimmer controlled and any bulb I put there was dim. Like a low battery.

Anyway..

I put it back together.. I can see the gear. Selector but I'm more interested in the fuel guage at the moment.

I would think that is more likely to be the sender unit is faulty, with a Gnd short once warm, or when the fuel level drops low enough.
Possibly a cracked rheostat board, which goes to Gnd once below the crack.

Im Not convinced over level senders...

I remember a xantia owner having constant fuel level guage issues. He had changed the level sender in the tank to no avail. It turned out that on the xantias there's a little pcb behind the rev counter that the level sender is connected to. I assume it's to smooth out the guage as it would be up and down all the time round corners... I swapped it out for another and it worked for them ever since..

Is your fuel level guage now fixed?

Well it's behaving at the moment on the drive. But need to take it out for a drive to see.. When I get paid and can go and get fuel I'll find out for certain.

Do you still have the suspect Pcb?
I have one for a manual with fried components for the oil guage, so it fails to show the level when the lamp is on.

Strangely, it came off the same car as the duff Hydractive Ecu...I suspect a reverse polarity connection.
