Re: Fusebox Replacement
In Mike (xantia_v6)'s second photo above, the grey/black relay in the top r.h. of the photo is #55 Door Lock Control. Its brown connector has 8 ways used (9 is NC), which include two grey cables on pins 3 & 4. [Mike's cable colours can easily be seen in the photo above, although I have an earlier circuit diagram which shows pin 1 as black, and pin 2 as yellow. However, all the other pins are the same as Mike's, including the important 2 x grey.]
These two grey cables will connect directly to #961, the Interior Light Timer module. This should have a 7-way brown connector, carrying 3 x grey, 3 x brown, 1 x green - and should be in the same right-hand area. Module colour remains to be confirmed, although has been stated as blue.
Sorry we are struggling with this - heaven knows why! Sometimes it just takes an extra pair of eyes (hands, and a camera) to nail something which doesn't often get looked at. We'll get there...

Re: Fusebox Replacement
I'd suspect above this plate you took the picture of. The situation is similar on the LHD, there is a plate beneath the glovebox and some relays are on the top, some on the bottom side.edelweiss wrote:so, on a RHD car, does anyone have an idea where the interior light timer is?
This is the picture again, with some markings: Can you see one of these if you peek into the area above the plate? The timer relay, even if it isn't blue (but it probably is) has an easily recognizable shape. And if you can see the other module, as Chris suggested, starting from the marked two wires will lead you directly to the timer unit.

Re: Fusebox Replacement
I knew I had seen this somewhere, even used some of the pictures for identiication. A complete RHD stripdown (A/C evaporator replacement) with tons of the pictures still available:

Re: Fusebox Replacement
Are we sure that the new and old fuse boxes were the same version.
The Citroen Workshop Manual lists SIX versions of the Mk2 junction fuse box in just over 3 years.
ORGA 6383 - 6568.
ORGA 6568 - 6749.
ORGA 6749 - 6947.
ORGA 6947 - 7084.
ORGA 7084 - 7483.
ORGA 7483 on.
One of the later changes was a fuse up rating but the rest were wiring changes.

Re: Fusebox Replacement
I'm not sure that they were the same, but i am sure that changing the boxes hasnt caused me any trouble in over 1000 miles of driving. Both cars are same year, same model, even the same colour (different interiors though)... Either way, i couldn't find where the code was written into the box, and changing them back we'll be quicker to do than changing them the first time was!

Re: Fusebox Replacement
There was a subsequent change on RHD cars at ORGA 7847.
The 10 minute timer type was changed and the circuit wiring modified.
