Scrapping my XM

Post by Stickfinger » Fri Apr 19, 2024 6:37 am

SOLD..............SOLD and is going to be saved...stayed in the South West

Scrapping a 2.1TD XM Exclusive.....see my posts regarding this car. Body work damage down one side due to deer.
See here to see my history/work I have done to this car viewtopic.php?f=22&t=10035

This is what it was like before:

This was the main damage.....this is now cut off and a replacement section is ready to weld in place.

Please NOTE, this is VERY IMPORTANT...due to family circumstance I DO NOT have time to spend an hour remove a £5.00 part....you are welcome to attend and remove this yourself, I may even provide a coffee :)

I will price parts as they are requested.

(I will sell the whole car and all the bits if anyone wants it for £400, it will start, rise and drive onto a trailer, brakes etc all good, no leaks).

The car was NOT WRITTEN OFF by the insurance company and did not revive any category marker.

Car was fine & passed its last MOT clean.

Rust Free car...it really is in almost perfect condition in all known corrosion areas.
Rebuilt (top end) engine with leak free Epic pump, new pulleys etc
I think the strut tops are "good"
Auto Gear Box works fine, changes smoothly
Everything worked except some pixels in the displays and a drivers door window
