xm Sunroof Rubber

Post by freddyprints » Mon Oct 11, 2010 12:33 pm

Hi,
Lent my car to a friend, he managed to lock the keys inside. A wise man decided to remove the Sunroof Rubber to try and gain access.
Now I need to get the rubber back on. How???
Do I need to remove the sunroof or is there an easy method.
Thanks
Freddy

Not the usual Xm roof repair here!

I'd say you need to drop the sunroof tray from the main roof which means
removing the headlining. Don't think there's an easier way - does the roof
actually work as it should as sliding it back open will allow access to make
a better fix.

A mind picture being conjured up doesn't look good with where this ended.
You must've got into the car in the end; is your pal still a friend!!?

If you remove the inner clip on plastic trim you can access the screws that hold the glass section in place, then lift out the glass.
