M9 Bolts

Post by oli_25_uk » Sun Oct 24, 2010 6:17 pm

Hi all,

Quick question only tangentially related to citroens!

I am in need of an m9 bolt about 70mm long for a lamp I've bought. Searching on the inter webs reveals that a) they are a rare as hens teeth, but b) m9 bolts might be in use in 2cv engines... Which made me think that people on this forum might be able to help...

If so a PM would be most welcome!

Ps. I really feel like an interloper here because I know own a CX as a daily driver!

Try a local fixings and fastenings supplier. Alternatively drill and tap to a 10mm thread.

Thanks for both those...

In the end the shop checked though all their other lamps and discovered that some had 80mm bolts included - so send us one of those - now there is light in the living room!

What is the thread pitch?? I'm pretty sure only M9 x 1.25 is used on Citroens (rarely).
