But it's a BX, so next best thing

This'll need a little work, but this time next year it'll look like new...

A Mate had one just the same, it was great fun...especially slinging in another engine after it melted a big end at Vmax... ;)

Looks good, well it looks a bit unloved but you know what i mean, it looks promising 8-)
know what you mean about the weather, working on the activa project is proving a little slow at the moment.

Surely it just needs a damned good scrub up - everything is straight and undamaged.
Are it's pipes all shot to hell underneath having sat in the undergrowth though? Are
the pictures depicting it's 'found' state or where it's currently parked though...

few more Cits in the background that's all.

Approx how many 16valvers exist now then?

The pipes are good, although IME something always needs replacing - often the fuel line gets overlooked for instance, when everyone's so focussed on the hydraulic pipes :)

I know the clutch, exhaust, starter and alternator, rear arms, radiator, electrics, brakes timing belt and so on are all good having been done shortly before the car was laid up. There's a misfire caused by a burnt out valve, so it's head off time (so, in for a penny in for a pound, it's a case of renewing what needs renewing....).

But with a purchase price of £100 which includes newly regassed spheres all round, can't complain :)

Hi Andrew,
The other BX in Phil's /\ first photo shot (the one on the left) is one which Tim (AKA Roverman) has also just secured, more on the BXC FORUM but I think you need to log in as member too see this topic :-

Well it got delivered here today. If anything it's dirtier than the pics suggest. I think it'll take some time to clean! But I am happy; it's a nice project car.

It arrived. I did a quick investigation of issues... OK I know what I'm taking on now... not toooooo bad.

Dirty at 3pm.

Cleaner (although far from clean) an hour and a bit later. (No jet washer - only a bucket of soapy water and a sponge lol!)

Not bad for £75 plus £25 for regassed spheres all round and a ton delivered 100 miles to me.
