thanks for all of your thoughts and the offers of parts had alook at it yesterday and found the remains of the window harness so i guess it would be possible to piece it together again if i can sort that i'll run it in for an mot if any one has any info regarding decoding the numbers /colours on the wires that would be great thanks bob
