I have used Admiral Multicar for two years now. When it came to renew, I spent time shopping around and found one or two combinations of policies that were competitive but when I phoned and spoke to an "operative" or some such term they were able to reduce the price to what seemed to be an unbeatable level. In February of this year, £1200 got me insurance for a Saab 9-5 2.3t, a Fiat Multipla 1.9 for my wife and I and a Hyundai i10 insured for the two of us plus two learner drivers and a very newly passed 18 year old. The 2CV is insured with Lancaster for under £100 including an optional £25 legal protection charge. Swapping the Saab for the XM reduced the cost a bit but not as much as I hoped amd so come February the shopping around will begin again.

Actually, I suspect the important thing is how the insurers respond when a claim is made. I have been very lucky and not had to make a claim in a quarter of a century, but when I do I will expect exemplarary service given the thousands that I have paid out over those years.

BTW, I do get a discount for being in the IAM as a full member but I am not sure how much that is worth - it probably just offsets my SP30 fixed penalty!

Rob

Well done Paul, you will feel tired for a bit your body has been working hard getting rid of the infection, just take it steady and you will soon be back to normal.

Same here, every day almost unless I really fight it... I do sleep! It's become a way of life

Today has been different, instead of just sleeping in the afternoon I've been asleep all day more or less... Not a good day; the kick-back from Sunday
