You don't see many R4s around which are so early now, its a 4L I believe? No doubt the 3 speed version?

We had a R4 TL 1972 for 11 years, I used to use it quite a bit after just passing my test. It was sold about 6 years ago now, I hope its still going. That was my dads 5th R4, we also had another one while we had the TL. It was a white GTL 1985 with red doors, bootlid and baloon stickers all over it. It was a little bit of an eyesore!

While I was very young my parents had a pair of BXs as the family cars, they also had a bright yellow LHD Acadiane Mixte, Rolls SIlver ShadowII and the Traction which they still have. Before that they had many A-series Citroens, DS saloon and Safari, numerous GS and GSA's. Quite an odd mixture and no doubt why I like Citroens!
Chris.

 It's a museum piece Paul. That's amazing. They do look funny though...they sit so high with tiny little wheels tucked under the body. Not very good proportions!

Nice to see you again Chris. That is an interesting car history. Nothing like driving an unusual car when your 17. R4... brilliant. :D
I had the use of the Renault 21, my friend tim had a plum and custard 2CV Dolly. And another mate had the use of his dads V6 Omega from time to time. Makes a change to the usual Corsa!

That brings back memories Paul! my dad had a 120y in cherry red with those hubcaps (i have vivid memories of those hubcaps as a little boy) and a black vinyl roof, does look a bit more out of proportion than i remember though, cant say its a pretty car, i remember watching the motorway passing by through the rust holes in the rear footwells on the way to nans every sunday and the plastic drum tied to the bottom of the engine to catch the oil that leaked out so he could pour it back in each day, fond memories
