Hi all, hmmmmm !, BAE, Eurofighter, contracts signed 1982, in service 2010. Partners continually moving specs. The Germans screwed up the flight control system, had to call in Flight Dynamics (USA). The engines went through years of re-development, the British over extended their avionic capabilities and took years to sort, the French despaired and pulled out, produced the Rafael, a venerable sales success and highly competent machine. My own experience at Airbus on the A380 left me in full sympathy with the French frustrations on the Anglo-Deutsch involvement, even the Spanish and Italians delivered their bits on time, to spec and fit for purpose.
