KRAKEN tape!!!

Post by Vince » Sat Oct 25, 2014 7:16 pm

Guys,

Has anyone on her ever heard of or used Kraken tape?

I hadn't until the other day at work when an AA patrolman came in to re-stock up on it. As id never heard of it a chat ensued and im now the content owner of a roll ;)

For anyone like me who hadnt heard of it, its a clear tape with a central blue line to guide for overlapping which is specifically designed for sealing pipes. It handles all pressures from coolant pipes to very high pressure boost pipes! so its a one stop shop for pipe splits.
e
For me this was the best bit about it......Once applied it seals the leak and then fuses itself to the hose into a permanent / semi-repair 8-) It will at least get us home again :P As we all run cars with plenty pipework which is hard to get hold of, thought this might be of some use to all ;)

Watch the demo on the site.....the AA swear by this stuff so ive stocked up on a load at work :)

Release the Kraken!!!

In the standard demo video the guy is simply using a black self-amalgamating (insulation) tape. This has been available for decades, and is regularly used by electricians to fabricate waterproof insulation for connectors and so forth.

You can buy the stuff at any decent electrical stockist.
