I am surprised Matthew you didn't spot at least one XM there. Probably a tell tail sign.

My family has some very good friends who used to live in Paris and quite often did the Arc De Triomphe. ( not the right spelling I know!) You just have to go for it apparently and ignore the mad drivers heading for you. Rather them than me.

Last time we went to France which must have been getting on for ten years ago there were a few XM hatches but very rarely did we see an estate, but around Rennes there were quite a few, but they were born there of course.

Just to break the trend I actually saw one yesterday in avenue de Wagram near the arc de triomphe. Silver V6 late 90s in good condition. Must say it looked a bit out of place, very angular, don't think the driver was a local somehow as he was driving cautiously.

Agree they're a pretty rare site now, but then the probability of being somewhere at exactly the right time to see an old car drive by must be very low indeed. Meanwhile there are plenty of fat C6s cruising about in Paris still.
