XM in Autocar Mag

Post by russ92xmsed » Fri Mar 13, 2015 5:48 pm

Well it's only a small smidgen of a mention, but they rate it as 6 out of 6 options for super steering cars for less than £2000.
Even mentioned the Xantia Activa. Nice press phot, I think, of a gold mk1.... Possibly v6. Numberplate is H602 GDP.

They say it is an unexpected agile joy to drive, with a deft ride and well balanced handling.
Does this mean were driving sports saloons?

Number one was the Honda Accord Type R 99-02, followed by Honda Prelude 4WS 88-01, Alfa Romeo GTV (96-06), Pug 106 GTI, Mazda MX-5 89-97, and then the XM.

Thanks for that Russ and here is what the Auto Trader vehicle check brought up:
Vehicle details found: H602GDP BEIGE, 1990 CITROEN XM V6 SEI AUTO 5 DOOR HATCHBACK
So you were right on both counts and there certainly were other GDP press cars as I recall. I wonder who has the car now?

Matthew T.
PS. DP is for Reading very near Slough, as is JB where the six demo 24v were registered.
