I have been trying to find info on how to uncouple the flexi-plastic pipe that attaches to near the bottom of the plastic fuel filler 'manifold' on my Hdi Xantia brake. (Sorry, but I have an XM as well

)
The pipe is difficult to get at and see clearly, but it seems to have some sort of "quick release" coupling - but I can't see how to release it. (I'm not used to such modernisms - give me a Jubilee clip any day)
Can anybody enlighten me, please?

Hi and welcome.
There is a plastic collar on the fitting, pull it back away from the thing the pipe attaches to and gently wiggle the fitting off, to reconnect just push it back on.

Thanks Dean.
My fitting looks like it may be the type that you describe. There is a circuferential slot on one side of the fitting with a band visible inside it. I tried gentle levering with a small screwdriver behind the band and it moves but can only be pulled out a little (about 2mm). I did not apply more force because it looked as though it might break if I tried harder. How much force should it normally need? Can you offer any further advice?
Regards,
Andrew

Push the band not pull... and lever down at same time...
Refit is simply push on and clicks into place...

Hmmm. It does not push in. I am puzzled. I will try and get a usable photo of it.
