Why did the exhaust valves get bent? Was the cam belt in bad condition or a tensioner gone bad or was there no apparent reason for the issue and the timing haenmoved ?

absolutely, I've never had to pressure test an engine block either. I would prefer another engine too because this could be becoming a very time consuming (re)search..

I've clipped your original post on this. It appears you have the 138Bhp engine (EW10J4) that should use p/n 025317.
