I think it was slightly more than £150 actually yes, though its an excellent car, out of the 4 Xms we have had, this is by far the best and my favourite. I wouldnt like to change it for another, the 2.1 is great and with a manual box its pretty bomb-proof, i hope! The estate is very handy too. AC would be nice but you can't have everything and ive never seen a 2.1 manual with AC anyway.

Xms are becomming increasingly rare so the opportunity to get the right car will be difficult.

Did you actually buy a 2.1 estate for £150 Peter? A bargain, thats less than the front tyres cost on our Xm!

Wouldn't swap it for a BMW would you? :D

Yes I did buy one for £150.00 the last one I got, the white estate, and it was taxed and MOTd briefly. It had two new Goodyear front tryes, a new clutch and battery :D :D :D But - the head gasket is leaking although I have done about 5,000 miles with it and it still drives OK, some of the electrics didn't work and it needed generally tidying up, it also smells of dogs - still!. I generally use it as a builders truck, which was what I think it was used for before I bought it. Having said all that I think its the best one I have had for ride and it has a clutch so light you wouldn't believe it, I would like to find out why.

I dont thionk the scapyards are paying that little for them now Peter .

Pauls offer sounds good Jim, finding a Mk1 V6 of any discription is going to be hard work and as you have said forget getting your hands on a 24v now unless we can sort out some sort of abduction at the next cxm, maybe get him from behind with a large bag while he is giving a lexia session .

I'm struggling this evening. I left my glasses at work

I've not yet got my new V6. It's all mine and paid for, I'm just awaiting delivery, hence no word on the FCF yet.

In brief, it's an R plate Mauritius Blue one with cream leather. Low mileage and commensurate condition. It was purchased from a Forum member...

BMWs are not really my thing unfortunately, Peter. That was a true bargain :)

You should have back up glasses Jim, as with your V6

Sounds like it will fit in nicely with your current pair 8-)

Will this new addition be a 'keep for best' V6 and your S1 still taking the daily duties?

Ive been trying to think which forum member had a S2 V6, i can only come up with one but i dont know anything about the car. Did it belong to someone with an old Jag?

I can't place it either Jim - the 'available' v6 Xants in the forum I can think of are all green! :?

No, not a Jag....

Think of someone who also has a DS....

Now that narrows it
