Hi Peter.

Yes --- I am on Tiscali, or whatever it's called now. To be fair, have generally been pleased with them, as the package I took, which includes free landline calls was -- and still seems to be --- reasonably competitive. Also, don't think I've had any breaks in service, whereas the last bunch I was with (Freeserve ? iirc) seemed to be off as much as they were on. Was a bit miffed when they recently arbitrarily upped the price, promising a faster service. Firstly, there's no perceptible difference and, secondly, I don't need a faster service. Come to think of it, another quirky thing I've noticed lately is that some mails are randomly delivered to my 'junk' mail inbox for no apparent reason. All part of the general quirkiness of computers I guess. I recently had an horrendous infestation that I couldn't sort and wound up fitting a new hard drive. Reloaded all my original programs and one EPC I have, which had never displayed images on the old drive, suddenly came fully to life -- weird !

Mike.

Hi Mike

I was just wondering if there was a common denominator to this problem and Tiscali (or whatever) may well be the answer, anyone else on Tiscali lacking post from the club?

I have the same package as you Mike, and yes, it is good value for money and I must admit I have had fairly good service from them except for the speed in the evenings, although that does seem to be improving now. I did have a fault where it kept dropping out, but after numerous communications all telling me to do the same checks, I found it was my ham radio equipment that was causing it

I too have the occaisional wanted mail posted in the 'junk mail' folder, but I don't seem to be getting much post at all at the moment.
