If you want to make sure its not coolant and your not squeamish - taste it, if its coolant it will be sweet.

Also, if you turn on the heater on a reasonably cool day (probably any days now the hot spell is over, or just in the early morning) and direct it just to the windscreen and turn the fan on full and make sure you aren't on recirculation, does your windscreen start to mist up? If it does - and it is probably accompanied by a strange sweet smell - then it is the heater matrix.

I need to get mine replaced as I can't demist the car on a cold morning now as it just makes it worse unless I have it set to completely cold. Even in the hot spell of the past few days if I let it put any heat out then I misted up.

Of course, just because it doesn't do that doesn't mean the matrix or its pipes aren't leaking when cold or something.

Hi Robert, thanks for the photos, I had a look at the aerial the base is damaged and needs replacing. According to Citroen aerial and bases are £6.43 each which indicates that they separate but I can't seem unscrew the aerial from the base?

Also my aerial is very long, it goes past the sunroof when laying flat, I've seen shorter ones on the Xantias and ZXs will these work as well or lose radio signal strength?

Just buy a new aerial ad base, saves loads of aggro.

Yeah that isn't the issue, just need to know whether I can re-use the actual aerial as I can't seem to separate it from the base.

The whip should unscrew from the base. But they corrode and don't budge.

A Xantia one would work fine. It just won't look the same. I stuck the whip from a Xantia aerial on my CX and it works fine.

Managed to get one from a Pug 106 which was exactly the same, same length too. Only a quid from the scrapper.
