Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

Thanks Jim. You were nearly correct! We was on the way back from the DSM Rally in that 6000 Mile BX GT and Dave and Luke were up ahead in the CX.

One of the many roundabouts...! As one person coined that photo - CX Hoonage!

Hmmm sounds like I need a CX with some cloth seats and hydractive valves!

I do love that picture! Not sure if she will make it this year! If she does it will be minus a sun roof!
I love the xm and Cx seats.I find the xm seats more supportive but think the Cx leather seats may be on a par!
We shall see....
My fiancee on the other hand can't stand the Cx seats...

I used to suffer from chronic backache and I found that the only way I could get any relief was to go and sit in my GS Pallas!

Indeed, that is a great picture :D So, is the sunroof becoming more of a rainroof then Dave?

And slowly turning the car into a convertible via a dissolving roof?

Excellent :D I reckon they should be available on the NHS Derek... Mind you, I think hydraulic Citroens should be prescribed for many conditions - impaired mobility and stress being just two. I mean, how can you be stressed when cruising around in a proper Citroen?

Very true, but I did find the CX seat lacking support on the long haul. GS seats were fabulous! The XM non leather is nice, good enough to drive to the Med without getting too tired. And yes, the xantia seats aren't great at all. A good 2cv seat is fab as well. For my back that is.:)

I have never really found 2cv seats that great I'm afraid, they get my lower back.. But that could be down to the seats in question being a bit old and saggy!
Mk1 CX seats are my favourite, but find my XM seats very comfy and more supportive. Everyone that has been a passenger in it always comment on the comfort.
Apart from Citroen.... Peugeot and Renault use to do good seats. 21 were vey good, and I have a 405 front seat as a desk chair which I spend most of the day in working, and that has been great. Infact it solved my sciatic leg issue...which a proper desk chair caused.

wow...that's ama ing Russ. 2cv seats do sag over time, you need to put new rubbers in them at some stage. Old Renaults seats were great compared to Japanese....Like your desk chair!

I don't need to worry about 2cv Seats Jaap, haven't got one...my friend Tim had several and some of them were a bit worn out.
Japanese seats a re killers. My grandparents have had many Mitsubishi's and there were dreadful. The headrests were rock hard...knock you out if you had a smash.

Seats are different and the people who sit in them are. The black leather seats of my current XM are OK, but the fabric upholstered ones of the 1990 BX19GTi I drove back then were better: better support, less fatigue on long drives, like from Hiroshima to Tokyo (about 900 km). But again, that is my impression ;)
