XM Sedan!!

I did have the above in mind, but I would like to see a Xantia style rear windscreen. The proportions are much better on the estate platform, but the rear lights make it look dull. But then the hatches wonderfull design, doesn't work either.

It is too heavy at the rear, the shoulder line kink doesn't help it. It is curious how just a little tweak can totally ruin a good design.

Best left alone this saloon idea!

The last photo has a rear reminiscent of a Lancia Kappa. That was okay on the Kappa (which also had rear lamps that did *not* wrap around to the sides).

I think this one works rather well and would have competed nicely against the E class profile.

The rear wing upper profile could do with being very slightly lower to reduce the heavy appearance, but I suspect it works better in reality that in pictures.

Actually it is funny you mention the Kappa. I think the boot lid needs to drop and create little fins like the Kappa coupe.
The rear indicators could then fit in those fins. I was trying to do it yesterday, but didn't workout.....wrong view and image. Need to spend more time on it.

The kink needs to run the full length of the rear wing and not dissapear....IMHO!

Also I think the rear wing length needs to be that little bit shorter. Might balance it up more.

Otherwise I agree Will, it is better than the first attempt.

The top of the doors-to-roof transition is now problematic. The boot lid suggests a 90s Jetta. The XM is fighting conversion tooth and nail.

Well this is my concept idea of an XM saloon. Yes it is exaggerated and not that accurate...bit crap too really!!

I didn't spend much time on it...honest ....hence the roughness.

That's more like it. The rear is now as sharp as the front and the whole body shape is rakish.
